
Meropi Tzanetakis
VITA
Dr Meropi Tzanetakis is a visiting researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society in Berlin and a lecturer at the University of Vienna and at the Free University of Berlin. Meropi received her Dr. Phil. in political science from the University of Vienna (2013). Her current research focuses on social transformation processes in the context of the recent phenomenon of darknet drug markets on the Internet. She is co-editor of Drugs, Darknet and Organised Crime (Nomos Verlag, forthcoming). In addition, she has written journal articles as well as book chapters and presented papers at national and international conferences on issues of illicit drug markets, virtual currencies, darknet, crime, trust and violence.
